Once the day of panels at Wide Days 2016 has ended we will be treated to 6 of Scotlands best up and coming acts kicking off with Best Girl Athlete & Be Charlotte.
Charlotte Brimner AKA Be Charlotte has already taken the music industry by storm in 2016. Several trips to the USA including a trip to SXSW. Her latest singe has been added to the BBC Radio Scotland Playlist and was also Janice Forsyth’s “Single Of The Week” just a couple of weeks back. She will be playing this years Belladrum & Electric Fields Festivals in the summer. Not a bad start to 2016 for the 18 year old from Dundee.
Best Girl Athlete
Don’t be fooled by 16 year old Katie Buchan’s youth… she has achieved more in her 16 years than many could dream of. An album ‘Carve Every Word’ released on Fitlike Records a US Tour and comparisons to Aimee Mann, Laura Marling and Feist. Collaborating with her father Charley on the album Katie is beginning to establish herself and one of Scotland’s brightest young prospects. After Wide Days you can see Best Girl Athlete all over Scotland including Brew At The Bog.
