Track Of The Week – David Luximon – Duty Of Care
In light of the current Covid19 Crisis, Edinburgh-born artist David Luximon(Vive La Rose) releases a new single “Duty Of Care” via Last Night From Glasgow/Hive, with all sales going to Age UK/Age Scotland.
Age UK are currently doing essential work under incredibly difficult circumstances, ensuring that the elderly and isolated among us continue to be supported and maintain access to food in these difficult times. “Duty of Care” is taken from the album of the same name, currently in production, and was recorded with Olly Betts of Duke Spirit, also on mixing duties, and mastered by Neil Pickles.
The track is a psychedelia drenched groover, putting kindness and optimism upfront, with nods to the likes of David Axelrod, the Electric Prunes, and Marvin Gaye. The track is accompanied by a blissed-out reimagining from Max Harris Project in the shape of the Ashely Lockdown Mix. Luximon is currently at work on the new album, due for release in 2021, following on from the critically acclaimed “For She Who Hangs The Moon”, released in 2019 under the moniker Vive La Rose.
