Glasgow’s Prides will play in Edinburgh & Aberdeen off the back off European dates supporting PVRIS.
Prides (Stewart Brock & Callum Wiseman) are currently on tour in Europe supporting PVRIS. The final date is in Berlin on Thursday night. So home to chill out after the tour… not likely, they play The Liquid Room in Edinburgh on Friday night and Aberdeen Lemon Tree on Saturday. With debut album ‘The Way Back Up’ released in July 2015, this year will see Prides bring out the follow-up.
Ailsa caught up with Stewart while travelling from Paris to Amsterdam.
For anyone who hasn’t heard your music yet, tell us a bit about yourselves?
We are Stewart & Callum, a two piece from Glasgow, and we write big tunes with keys and guitar and heartache and hope.
Describe your music in three words?
Anthemic honest stories
You guys are currently on tour with PVRIS, how has that been as an experience?
It’s been awesome. We’ve been massive fans of them for a long time, and it’s been great to spend some time on the road with them. Especially as it’s our first time visiting some of the European cities on this leg of the tour.
What do you enjoy most about being on tour?
Seeing new places, meeting new people. It’s always amazing meeting up with fans who have followed us for a while, and haven’t seen us live before. I love hanging out after the show and getting to hear their stories about our music.
Lastly, what does the rest of 2017 hold?
A new album, more shows, more love, more new places, more new people. It’s gonna be a good one.
New single ‘Away With The Night’ is available to download and stream now.
They have also just released a cracking cover version of ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?‘ by the one and only Tina Turner with Callum taking on lead vocals.
You can still get tickets to both the Edinburgh show & Aberdeen show so don’t miss out. If you are going down to the Edinburgh gig, get along early as A&A favourites Rebel Western & Ava Love are supporting.
