Alive & Amplified rounds up the latest releases from around Scotland.
It’s been a while since we sat down and went through the latest release so here are 4 of the best new things to come out of Scotland in the past few week.
Vukovi – Vukovi – Debut Album – Out Now
I had the pleasure of interviewing Vukovi before their gig at Electric Circus last year and it still stands as one of my favourite interviews to date. After a busy couple of year’s touring and releasing cracking singles such as ‘Animal’ & ‘Bouncy Castle’ the debut album is ready to go. I cannot wait for this one to drop. They are on tour up and down the UK to promote this launch including a sell-out show at King Tuts in Glasgow. If you are going along you will see one of the best live bands Scotland has to offer. *Edit – This album is out now and on first listen I absolutely love it.
The Little Kicks – Shake Off Your Troubles – New Album – Out Now
Aberdeen’s The Little Kicks are veterans now of the Scottish music scene follow up 2013’s ‘Put Your Love In Front Of Me’ with brand new album ‘Shake Off Your Troubles’. The album features one of my favourite songs from last year ‘Goodbye Enemies, Hello Friends’ The Little Kicks play The Voodoo Rooms on Saturday 11th March. Having seen the band in the same venue towards the end of 2016 I would highly recommend getting along to get to this one.
EMILIE – Never Enough – New Single – Out Now
Following on for 2016’s ‘I See You In The Darkness’ EP which featured the excellent ‘Eyes For You’ with brand new single ‘Never Enough’. This is electro-pop at it’s best. I saw EMILIE live for the first time a couple of weeks ago supporting Be Charlotte and it was a great show and I am very mucg looking forward to seeing her playing alongside another favourite Stillhound at Sneaky Pete’s on 28th March.
