Edinburgh Gig of the week

After forming in Aberdeen, The Little Kicks have gone on to share the stage with some of the biggest live acts to play in the UK, such as, Foals, The Vaccines, Frightened Rabbit and Editors. They have also played at 3 major festivals in Scotland, T in the Park, Belladrum and The Insider Festival, whilst picking up radio airplay from 6 Music, Radio 1, XFM and Radio Scotland. The Little Kicks released their debut album “Boxing Clever” in the summer of 2011. Now, you would think it would take a while for the guys to release a follow up, however after releasing free download (see below) of “Call Of Youth” they released a self-titled 2nd album in November the same year

The Sun newspaper included the band in a feature of “Top 10 tips for 2012″ and Q Magazine named the band as one of “Ten Scottish Bands You Maybe Haven’t Heard Of But Should” in July 2012. A busy summer in 2012, the band were named Best Live Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards. (SAMA’s)

In Autumn 2013 the band released a third album entitled “Put Your Love In Front Of Me” which was part funded by Creative Scotland.  The album was preceded by the single “Girl”. The B-Side to this was a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”. Both of which you can listen to below.
