Born To Be Wide – Music Jounalism – 6th November
Born To Be Wide announces latest seminar and guest speakers
Born To Be Wide returns to Electric Circus on 6th November with a Music Journalism seminar. This month sees the traditional panel shelved as Olaf Furniss will first be interviewing Mark Ellen. Mark, who will be signing copies of his latest book “Rock Stars Stole My Life”, is well know in the industry as the founder of Q Magazine, former Smash Hits editor and for having 10 years + experience with Word Magazine.
After this interview Mark and Olaf will be joined by Herald editor Alan Morrison, freelance journalist Nicola Meighan, who has articles in The Skinny and Quietus, Edinburgh Evening News writer Liam Rudden and Jamie Brotherstone from STV Online, on the stage to revert back to a seminar with panel.
As usual the guests will be staying behind after to chat with the audience and play some of there favourite tunes (No Smiths, Morrissey or Joy Division allowed).
If you are in a band or a looking to work in the music industry I cannot stress how much these Born To Be Wide events will benefit you. Be there and definitely hang around after the seminar is over for some very helpful one on one time with the guests. I promise, they do not bite.
