Ava Love

After just 2 gigs Edinburgh’s Ava Love have been invited to perform alongside 70’s legends The Beat for the BBC Quay Sessions with Roddy Hart in Glasgow on 27th October. I saw Ava Love for the first time at the Tenement Trail in Glasgow just a couple of weeks ago and they were excellent. Electro Synth pop songs with definite hat tip to some 80’s nostalgia I am looking forward to hearing more form the 4-piece. Their bio sums it up perfectly

“If Ava Love have set out to evoke era of acid-wash denim, chunky sports cars, and mobile phones the size of your head, it’s certainly a goal they’ve accomplished. But the unique brand of nostalgia they showcase also has an undeniable explosive groove, which is here, now, and focused on a future where great things are yet to come.’

Tickets to this gig are free however you have to enter a ballot on the BBC Quay Session website. Tickets will be allocated on a random draw and you can register up until 4pm on Thursday 20th October.

Here is the first track Ava Love have released ‘Subterranean’
