Alive & Amplified Version 2.0 – The Edinburgh Music Blog, Back, Bigger & Better

Alive & Amplified – The Edinburgh Music Alive & Amplified - the Edinburgh Music BlogBlog – Relaunched

So, it has definitely been a while this time. Due to deciding to changethe structure of the website coupled with a number of technical issues, this rebuild has taken longer and has been more brutal than first expected. All the old posts are gone and will be replaced with new content on (nearly) a daily basis.

Why the reason for the change? Well, I was doing some blogging work for another website and found that it was much easier to break to posts down into smaller, more regular entries than having the thought of sitting at my desk writing one big massive blog for hours on end every Thursday. I have therefore decided to split the posts into more manageable and regular section. From today the posts will be as follows:

  • Monday The Alive & Amplified Gig Guide – Your weekly guide to what’s on in Edinburgh in the coming week
  • TuesdayThe Alive & Amplified Blog – As before this will cover recent news, new releases, awards etc etc.
  • WednesdayGig Of The Week – Alive & Amplified’s highlight of this weeks live shows
  • Thursday – The A&A 8-Track – 8 songs by local and non local bands and artist that i have enjoyed recently.
  • Friday – The A&A Video Of The Week – My choice of a favorite current video

I have also put in a News section. This will be updated whenever an something which is news worthy is announced, a new release, tour announcement, award shortlists etc etc.

I am always looking for new bands, gigs, releases etc to feature on this website. If you have anything that you feel could feature on Alive & Amplified please get in touch by using:

Please get in touch if you have any questions, comments or recommendations for the website and please share this with your friends.

For now… here’s a tune
