Alive & Amplified Radio Show now to be broadcast on Radio Summerhall.
I am delighted to announce that in the next few weeks the weekly radio show posted on this website will be broadcast as part of a brand new station starting up at Edinburgh’s arts hub Summerhall.
As of this week it will replace Shore Live on Shore Radio. Ian Schofield and I would like to thank Ricky, Carly and everyone at Shore Radio for the opportunity to get back on the airwaves just over a year ago. We had a great time at the Leith based station but feel that now is the right time to move onto a new venture with Summerhall. We wish everyone at Shore the best of luck and hope they continue with the excellent work.
The format at Radio Summerhall will be different in that the show will be pre-recorded and published on this site and at the Radio Summerhall. Unfortunately, at this time, as this is a brand new venture we will not be able to broadcast live sessions, however we are confident of this function being back up and running in 2016. We are also looking at ways to broadcast live online.
There may also be a disruption to Ian & I hosting the show together for a few weeks but, again, we are confident in getting everything in place in the new year to continue to produce a local music radio show that Edinburgh can be proud of.
A little more about Radio Summerhall
Radio Summerhall aims to…
1. To offer great online music content you might not hear elsewhere. Our shows, currently The Reggae Basement, Back at the Control Tower (previously the Freaky Jazz Show), All Shook Up and Caledonia Uber Ellis, are pre-recorded but hopefully retain a live feel, with some of the fluffs and mistakes left in. Our aim is to upload these to the site at the same time every week, but in reality this often doesn’t happen so do follow us on Mixcloud to ensure you never miss a new show.
